Designed bespoke for you, our bi-fold and French doors have a stylish, timeless appeal. Looking to create an effortless transition from the garden to the inside of your home? We’ve got a handle on what you need.
Our doors are individually designed and created to enhance your home. As well as adding a touch of sophisticated flair, our doors are unparalleled when it comes to durability, security and performance.
We know that the expertise and care of installing your door must meet the high levels of its craftsmanship and design. That’s why all our fitters are Ayrton employees. Our head installers have worked with us for many years – they are skilled, attentive, experienced working in period homes, and know how to make sure the fit is perfect with minimum fuss. We think you’ll like working with them as much as we do.
Let your personality – and garden – shine through your new doors. All our doors are fully finished on arrival, and painted in any colour, or colours, you’d like. You can even have a different colour inside to the outside. And we can also make your doors with timber or lead glazing bars, and decorative leaded windows in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Our expert sales team is here to assist with your project. Need an initial estimate? Looking for guidance on your next steps? Want to see our products firsthand? We’re ready to help and show you around our friendly showrooms.

We know that choosing your new door isn’t an open-and-shut process (excuse the pun), so we will be with you every step of the way. Our work starts with a visit to your home to measure the door and discuss your specific requirements. We come equipped with expert knowledge to kickstart the project, and can put together a detailed, bespoke quote for you. Whether you already have a particular style in mind, are looking to replicate an existing door, or are even in need of creative inspiration, we are here to guide you.

If you haven’t already visited one of our showrooms, we encourage you to do so while you consider your quote. Our showrooms are useful spaces to explore our product range and get a feel for what you are investing in. Alternatively, our sales team can share locations of local Ayrton installations for you to inspect, or you can speak directly with one of our clients to hear firsthand about their Ayrton experience.

Once you’ve placed your order with a deposit, our designers will conduct a survey, take precise measurements, discuss design details (such as paint colour and door furniture options). Your designer will be in touch with a computer-aided design (CAD) drawings for your approval before the door is created.

Making your brand-new door is only part of the job. Ensuring that the product is fitted precisely and securely is important. It will take two working days to complete the installation of your new door. Safety is paramount to us, which is why our installers will make sure no opening is exposed overnight, and that your home is left secure, neat and tidy. So you have to do is stand back, relax and admire that beautiful new door.

At Ayrton Bespoke, we specialise in full timber window replacements and, as such, we do not offer a window repair service. Repairing or part-replacing rotting or damaged timber is rarely a lasting solution and, more often than not, is not a worthwhile investment in the long run. We only offer full window replacements, backed by extended, industry-leading performance and workmanship guarantees—ensuring durability and peace of mind.

Lead times for new windows and doors may vary depending on the scope of the project, design complexity, and detailing choices. Crafting bespoke timber windows and doors to complement your home on order, our lead times typically vary between 14 and 16 weeks from paying your deposit. Projects that require extensive stained glass or other detailing work may extend to 16 to 18 weeks; however, approaching us with a clear idea of your design choices may help to expedite the process. Our sales team will guide you through timelines based on your project specifics.
At Ayrton Bespoke, we specialise in crafting beautiful and bespoke windows and doors from sustainably-sourced and slow-growing Latvian redwood timber exclusively. With its timeless appearance, natural insulation, and long-term durability, we believe it’s the ideal material to complement and enhance London homes. Unlike uPVC, aluminium, or Crittall, natural timber allows us to replicate our heritage- and quintessentially British building styles, ensuring authenticity and massively boosting kerb appeal. Our highly skilled joiners only work with the highest grades of timber to consistently deliver beautiful results that last.
With the exception of Meranti hardwood external sills, our windows and doors are exclusively crafted using Latvian redwood (a species of pine) using a glue-and-laminate process perfected over 60* years. Laminating four pieces of timber parallel to each other reduces the natural movement associated with solid timber, resulting in greater stability, durability, and thermal performance, while Meranti hardwood sills offer additional moisture resilience where standing water is most likely to collect. Using this process, Ayrton Bespoke produces more than 4,000 of London’s finest windows and doors each year.

*While Ayrton Bespoke has been operating for just under 20 years, the factory where our craftsmen practice their craft has been at the forefront of specialist timber fabrication since the 1960s.
The builder’s quote will almost certainly be significantly cheaper than our offering, but this is for a very good reason! So often than not, a builder will outsource and not invest into the best quality wood, glazing and security locks, or offer aftercare.
The unfortunate reality is that part-replacing or repairing timber windows rarely pays dividends in the long run. Once rot or degradation has set in, simply replacing those parts means further work down the line, again costing time and money to address. Some of the issues that frequently crop up when repairing timber windows include:
- Improper bonding: When bonding new timber with existing, settled components, you’re combining materials that behave differently over time. In just a few years, you’re likely to notice visible warping, joint failure, and an aftercare nightmare.
- Forced fitting: Trying to fit perfectly straight timber sashes into existing boxes that have moved leads to poor draught exclusion and more friction when in use, leading to higher power bills and quickly deteriorating performance.
- Glazing mismatches: Older boxes are made to hold single-glazed units. Modern double-glazed units offer vastly superior thermal insulation; however, they rarely fit into existing boxes, especially in conservation homes, resulting in a loss of thermal performance.
- Lack of aftercare: Individually purchased and fitted glazed units, panels, frames, or boxes rarely include any sort of guarantee or aftercare. Part replacement can be appealing based on price alone; however, the potential for after-sales headaches is high.
As London’s leading supplier of bespoke timber doors and windows, we specialise in full window replacements, sidestepping the potential hazards of trying to repair a window that’s better off replaced.
All Ayrton Bespoke doors are fitted with secure Banham locks and robust adjustable hinges. Extreme weather conditions and significant impacts, as well as subsidence and movement in period homes, can affect your door, making adjustments necessary. Our aftercare team is never more than a quick phone call away, ready to provide ongoing support to ensure the perfect draught seal and smooth operation. All Ayrton products include a free 2-year aftercare plan, after which we charge a nominal callout fee.
Everyone at Ayrton Bespoke is a valued and full-time member of our team. We do not subcontract any of our activities, including installation, to ensure accountability, consistent quality, and the high standards our clients expect from us.
Our installation team plays a vital role in our success, and their professionalism is often mentioned in our 220+ five-star Google reviews. To learn more about London’s best fitters, visit our Meet the Team page.
Yes—Ayrton Bespoke can recreate stained glass detailing; however, rather than replacing the stained glass panels (which carry a high risk of damage during transit), we specialise in recreating your existing design using modern manufacturing techniques and processes. We encapsulate the new stained glass within a double-glazed unit to preserve its look while also improving thermal performance, durability, and weather resistance. While we don’t refurbish existing stained glass, we encourage you to reach out to our sales team for expert guidance on exact replicas with improved performance.
While this may sound counterintuitive, there are more important decisions to make when replacing windows or doors than materials and price. Ayrton Bespoke recommends starting with finding a reputable, verifiable, and trusted installation partner. In an industry where reliability can vary significantly between contractors, doing your own research is essential—visit showrooms to see the products in person, read verified Google or industry reviews, and make an informed decision.
Over the last two decades, we’ve helped countless homeowners update their homes with high-performing bespoke windows and doors after a disappointing experience with less-than-reputable suppliers, replacing leaky windows, failed glazing, and warping doors.
Buying or replacing windows or doors comes with a cost. With Ayrton Bespoke as your partner, you can rest easy knowing that you only pay once for products that consistently translate into long-term value.
We do not. We specialise exclusively in external timber windows and doors, crafting beautiful portals into your home and protecting it from the elements for decades. While we can manufacture internal doors, our products are built to exterior specifications and feature toughened double glazing, secure multi-point locks, and weather-resistant finishes—overkill for interior use. By focusing all our efforts on external fixtures for close to two decades, we can offer a level of expertise that is hard to match. Feel free to contact us to discuss your project, and we’ll gladly look at what we can and can’t help with.
We exclusively work with sustainably-sourced, slow-growing Latvian redwood, known for its beautiful, natural grain, insulation properties, and durability. Our installation team is highly skilled and experienced in working with timber, and by sticking to what we know best, we consistently deliver the most durable and authentic choice for London property windows and doors.
Ayrton’s fitters will repair damage caused to your plasterwork during installation to a pre-decorative standard—meaning the surface will be smooth and ready for painting, but not yet painted.
Fitting new windows or doors involves removing sections of plasterwork to ensure a perfect fit. It is a standard procedure for properly setting new frames, applying insulation, and sealing the unit, especially in older or uneven walls. Our installation team will restore any plasterwork to a smooth and even finish, ready to paint or touch up by yourself or a third party.
Yes, we do. Ayrton Bespoke specialises in creating like-for-like replicas of existing windows and doors for homes in conservation areas. We combine traditional craftsmanship and modern material sciences to craft true replicas that preserve the architectural integrity of your home while meeting strict planning permission requirements and thermal performance standards.
